Special Moment with Simon Yam (CANON)
On this Monday(24/05) i had attend an event organizing by Canon Malaysia, "Special Moment with Simon Yam" Ya if you wonder who~ the Simon Yam from HK that had recently awarded the best actor for Echoes of the Rainbow in april 29th HK film awards.
I had arrive early at 6pm something to gather my tickets at 7pm, i had been given 2 tickets and had asked one of my friend to join me.
The whole event basically is sharing event of Simon Yam as the Canon ambassador and also himself as photographer with some opinion and idea with all the users of Canon. The sharing section was about an hour but i was late and only able to attend the half part of the event. By that time the place had been crowded with peoples holding all the camera capturing his pictures. After that was a short autograph section with all the users.
To be frank i had never heard of this movie at all before that, but after i had watched it was the sentimental type of movie that u will gain a lot of motivation and inspiration from the old time plot in movie. Basically the whole movie is regarding this small family that was father (Simon Yam), Mother (Sandra Ng), eldest son Desmond (Aarif Lee) and the youngest son that coming from lower class of family in HK during era of 60's.
This movie had been nominated 6 awards in the recent HK film awards and they had won 4 out of it that consist of Best Screenplay, Best Actor, Best New Performer and Best Original Film Song. Talking about their song, it was really quite nice and touching especially the song that had been play out during the funeral. It really touch the bottom of your heart. The video below is the song that i talking about and discuss by many peoples in forum as well. I would strongly suggest you to buy the original DVD to watch it when it come out in the market in future time.
